8-Day Beijing Xian Shanghai Expo Tour

Day 01 Beijing arrival

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport displaying your name. Then transfer to the 4-star Best Western Premier Hotel or similar.

Day 02 Beijing (B, L)

After breakfast in the hotel you will proceed to the Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests and the Summer Palace, an imperial summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi.

Day 03 Beijing (B, L)

The highlight today is a visit to the Badaling Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. After that you will visit the Ming Tombs, one of the largest imperial necropolises in China. After lunch drive back to city and have an outside look of the Olympic sites including the Bird's Nest.

Day 04 Beijing / Xian (B, L)

In the morning you will be picked up at hotel and transferred to the airport for the flight to Xian. Upon arrival in Xian, meet and transfer to the 4-star Aurum International Hotel or similar. Proceed to you will take a city tour to the majestic Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Provincial History Museum that is one of the best in China.

Day 05 Xian (B, L)

A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xian as you visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8000 lifelike Terra Cotta Army. After lunch drive back to the city and visit the Ancient Xian City Wall, the best preserved in the world, followed by a wander on the famous Shuyuanmen Culture Street to appreciate the delicate traditional art crafts. Drop at the city center and enjoy your free time there.

Day 06 Xian / Shanghai (B, L)

In the morning take a flight to Shanghai. Meet and check into the 4-star Shanghai Greenland Jiulong Hotel or similar. Proceed to visit the fascinating Yu Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden, and take a walk through the Old Town filled with antique markets and specialty stores. Afterwards, visit Nanjing Road and the Bund, which is Shanghai's main shopping street and famous for its modern stores. In the evening, visit Xintiandi - a famous bar street.

Day 07 Shanghai (B, L)

Today you will have a day trip to the Expo pavilions and have fast lunch in local. In the evening you will have a cruise on the Huangpu River to see the nightlife on the along the Bund.

Day 08 Shanghai departure (B)

Transfer to the airport and take you homebound flight. Service ends.
