13 days Anhui Highlight Tour

Day 01 Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai, the commercial center of China. Meet and check into the four-star Shanghai Greenland Jiulong Hotel or similar. The rest of the day is free for you to recover from the jetlag.

Day 02 Shanghai (B, L)

Take a city tour to visit the city's major attractions and get a general understanding of this city. First you will visit the Yu Garden, at the Old Quarter, the famous waterfront Bund and Nanjing Road at the shopping center. In the afternoon, you will also visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple.

Day 03 Shanghai (B)

Free day at your own arrangement. You may spend the day shopping or just walking around to get a better understanding of Shanghai.

Day 04 Shanghai / Hangzhou (B, L)

After breakfast, you will drive to Hangzhou and visit the West Lake by taking a lake cruise. After that you will continue to visit the Six Harmony Pagoda which is a symbol of Hangzhou. In the afternoon, visit the famous Green Tea "Dragon Well" Tea Plantation. You will learn how the tea is made and also have a chance to taste some tea.

Day 05 Hangzhou / Huangshan (B, L)

Today you will drive to Huangshan, which is listed as one of the top ten scenic highlights of China. Ascend to the top of the mountain by cable car and enjoy the attractions of Mt. Huangshan. You would enchant by bizarre contoured pine trees, fantastic rock formations, seas of cloud and budding hot springs. Accommodations are at the four-star Xihai Hotel on the top of the mountain.

Day 06 Huangshan / Jiuhuashan (B, L)

Rise early to catch the glory of the rising sun bathes the nearby peaks and pavilions in a shower of light. Descend the mountain by cable car and drive directly to Jiuhuashan, a famous Buddhism mountain. Check in the four-star Dongya Hotel. After refresh, visit the Baisui Palace by taking a cable car up to the mountain. In the late afternoon, you will continue to visit the Zhiyuan Temple, Huacheng Temple.

Day 07 Jiuhuashan / Hefei (B, L)

After breakfast, you will continue to visit the sites in Jiuhuashan, including the Dabei Tower and Roushen Great Hall. Then in the afternoon, you will drive to Hefei, the capital city of Anhui province. Check in the four-star Holiday Inn Downtown Hefei Hotel.

Day 08 Hefei / Nanjing (B, L)

Today you will visit the Baozheng Scenic Area. It commemorates one of China's most respected iconic figures, Bao Zheng (999-1062), a conscientious and impartial Northern Song dynasty judge who fought for the common folk. Continue to visit the Li Hongzhang Former Residence. Li Hongzhang, a highly successful Qing dynasty military commander who is perhaps best known as one of the chief architects of the destruction of the Taipings. His residence has been well preserved, complete with beautiful lattice windows and Qing dynasty furniture. Drive to Nanjing in the late afternoon and check in the four-star Jinling Hotel.

Day 09 Nanjing / Beijing (B, L)

Full day sightseeing today takes you to Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yetsan who is the founder of Republican China, the Yangtze Bridge and the Confucius Temple. In the evening, transfer to the railway station and board the soft-sleeper train overnight to Beijing.

Day 10 Beijing (B, L)

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, in the morning. Meet your guide at the railway station and transfer to the four-star Holiday Inn Downtown Hotel. After breakfast and refresh at hotel, you will start today’s tour to Tian'an Men Square and the Forbidden City, the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Continue to visit the Summer Palace, summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi.

Day 11 Beijing (B, L)

The highlight today is to conquer the Badaling Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization and to the Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs, the burial grounds for the 13 Ming Dynasty emperors. Drive back to city and go for some shopping at the famous Silk Market.

Day 12 Beijing (B)

Free day at your own arrangement. You may spend the day shopping or just walking around to get a better understanding of Beijing.

Day 13 Beijing (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Service ends.
