Pick you up your hotel in the morning. Morning ride in three-wheeled rickshaws through Beijing's quaint alleys – Hutong, experiencing the lifestyle of the Beijing locals. Walking in the rear Shishahai Lake area. The lake is a broad expanse of water surrounded by willows, trees and poplars - a lovely scene. People can have a boat ride there in summer and skate in winter.

Today you will have a lunch at a local family and also have a chance to learn how to make dumplings. After lunch, proceed to visit Lama Temple (Yonghe Palace), the only Beijing city temple that survived the Cultural Revolution. It is the largest Lama Temple outside Tibet.

Hutong -- Hutongs are alleys formed by lines of siheyuan, traditional courtyard residences. Many neighborhoods were formed by joining one siheyuan to another to form a hutong, and then joining one hutong to another.
