Day 01 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Meet your tour guide at the airport and transfer to Beijing Chongwenmen hotel and rest.

Day 02 Beijing

Start today's sightseeing from Forbidden City and Tian'an Men Square. Known as the Palace Museum, the Forbidden City was the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years. In the afternoon, take a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Originally constructed in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it was where the emperor made an annual pilgrimage to pray for good harvests. During the daytime, you are accompanied to tour around by taking the public transportation vehicles including metro, minibus, taxi, and local bus.

Day 03 Beijing

Today experience the Great Wall by taking round-trip public tour coach. No trip to Beijing would be complete without seeing the Great Wall. You will spend one day exploring this ancient structure with the escort of your local tour guide.

Day 04 Beijing / Shanghai

In the morning, take a visit to Summer Palace, the largest imperial garden and summer resort for emperors in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). After the sightseeing of Olympic Venues including Bird Nest and Water Cube, roam Beijing Hutongs, the 700-year-old narrow streets and visit the old quadrangles by the old fashioned rickshaw to learn about the daily life of ordinary Beijing residents. Today you are accompanied to tour around by taking the public transportation vehicles. In the evening, take the overnight train to Shanghai.

Day 05 Shanghai

Meet your tour guide at the railway station and transfer to Shanghai Zhao An hotel. Today's visit is Yu Garden, a famous classical garden in the south of China. Surrounding the gardens is Shanghai's bazaar, a maze of small streets and alleyways where vendors sell their wares and food stuffs to the visiting tourist and locals. The public transportation vehicles are employed to go around Shanghai today.

Day 06 Shanghai

Morning program takes you to peruse ancient treasures in the Shanghai Museum. In the afternoon take some free time for an independent exploration of Shanghai's sights including the Bund and Nanjing Road. Today's sightseeing is mainly finished by walking.

Day 07 Shanghai Departure

Transfer to the airport and service ends.
