Jiuzhai Valley and Chengdu Tour

Day 1 Chengdu (L)

Arrive in Chengdu, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the centrally located four-star Jinyu Sunshine Hotel. After refresh at hotel, you will visit the Wuhou Temple, located in the outskirts of Chengdu. It was built in memory of the Prime Minister Zhuge Liang of the Shu State during the Three Kingdoms Period (AD220-280). After lunch in a local Sichuan Cuisine restaurant, visit the Jinli, a busy trading street with a history stretching back to the Qin Dynasty around two thousand years ago. Then continue drive to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda breeding, located about 10km from the Chengdu downtown area. The Research Base was built to imitate the wild ecological environment of pandas.

Day 2 Chengdu (B, L)

Today you will visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation system, which is a miracle of ancient Chinese ingenuity. Later, drive to the Qingchengshan Mountain is located 50km northwest of Chengdu. It is one of the ancient cradles of Daoism. The mountain has numerous Taoist temples and sites along the paths to its peak.

Day 3 Chengdu / Jiuzhaigou (B, L)

Transfer to the airport and fly to Jiuzhaigou, known as "king of Chinese water scenes". Meet your guide at the airport and transfer the four-star New Jiuzhai Hotel. After refresh at hotel, spend your time visit the Jiuzhaigou area, which is well known both at home and abroad for its natural scenery which includes snowy peaks, double waterfalls, colorful forests and green sea. In 1992 it was listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.

Day 4 Jiuzhaigou / Huanglong / Chengdu (B)

After breakfast at hotel, you will visit the Huanglong scenic area. Situated in the north-west of Sichaun Province, the Huanglong valley is made up of snow-capped peaks and the easternmost of all the Chinese glaciers. In addition to its mountain landscape, diverse forest ecosystems can be found, as well as spectacular limestone formations, waterfalls and hot springs. The area also has a population of endangered animals, including the giant panda and the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and fly back to Chengdu.

Day 5 Chengdu (B)

Transfer to the airport and fly to the next destination.
