Day 01 Arrival at Beijing

Arrival in Beijing. Meet and transfer to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 02 Beijing (B, L)

After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors once prayed for good harvests. In the evening you will enjoy the famous Peking Opera Show.

Day 03 Beijing (B, L, D)

Today's highlight is your visit to the Great Wall (Badaling Section) It is one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" and a symbol of Chinese civilization. Drive back in the afternoon via the Olympic Stadium (outside view) and then visit the splendor of the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi. A Peking duck dinner concludes your full day's activities.

Day 04 Beijing -New Year's Eve (B, L, D)

Today is Chinese New Year' Eve. You will involve in the activities and atmosphere of this big festival. First you will go to the Silk Market for the shopping where local people buy gifts and souvenirs and prepare for the New Year. In the afternoon you will visit a Neighborhood Committee (or the hutongs) where you will stay with a hospitable family. You may join them to prepare for the coming New Year's Eve and to participate their celebration activities. Return to hotel in the late evening.

Day 05 Beijing - the first day of the New Year (B, L)

This morning you will visit the famous Temple Meeting (Miaohui) which is held only during the Spring Festival with various celebration activities and folk performances: stilt-walking, drum performances, etc. It's a great insight into the lives of Beijing people in the past and present. The afternoon is free at your own exploration.

Day 06 Beijing (B)

Transferred to the airport for departure. Service ends.
