Beijing Grand Hotel (5*) opened on September 22 1990, The Grand Hotel Beijing was admitted as a formal member of the Leading Hotels of the World in the same year. Located uniquely, it is within the red walls of the old royal city at the east side of the Forbidden City, and is adjacent to the Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Pedestrian Shopping Street, facing the Chang An Avenue.

Location

A very grand hotel, but unstuffy, and the location can't be beaten. The Grand Hotel Beijing is superbly located on Beijing's east-west transportation artery, East Chang An Avenue. It lies just several minutes walking distance from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Wangfujing, the city’s premier shopping district, is a block away to the east. The Beijing Railway station is only 10-minutes away by taxi, while the new West Railway Station is 45-minutes drive.

Rooms

The Grand Hotel, Beijing offers 218 rooms and suites including Standard, Palace View rooms, Ambassador Suite, Presidential Suite, and an Emperor's suite. All are elegantly furnished with lovely old Chinese furniture and conveniently equipped. An "East meets West" motif exists in all rooms. Many rooms offer views over the Forbidden City, down into the spacious Atrium, or of Chang'an Avenue.
