Location: 17-kilometers away from the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

A very large, modern and well-kept hotel complex in central Chengdu, Chengdu Jinjiang Hotel has two separate large buildings. Both seem to have similar rooms, but the annex requires a walk of a couple hundred meters to reach the dining room in the main building. That large, but very inviting restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. The lobby and shopping area of the main building are very spiffy, with polished marble and mirrors everywhere.

Service at the bar, restaurants (buffet breakfast) and front desk are very good and English skills of the staff are surprisingly good. But no one should be surprised as Jin Jiang is the largest and one of the older hotel operators on the mainland.
