Location: Short walking distance to central shopping district of the city.

Used to be the government guesthouse, Chengdu Sichuan Hotel shows some ages on its surface and interiors. It offers adequate service but seems not have extra efforts to cater to western visitors. For example, the breakfast is more Chinese and offers just a few western food items. Staffs are helpful but not every one can speak English very well. Given its location, Chengdu Sichuan Hotel offers good value for money in terms of convenience.

Location

The Chengdu Sichuan Hotel is in a very good location especially if you are here on business. The hotel is very close to Chun Xi Road, where you can go shopping in this fancy shopping district.

Rooms

Rooms are good in terms of cleanliness and tidiness. The bathrooms are of adequate size and have nice big power shower, clean toilet and sink area. Some rooms have flat screen plasma TV but there are no English speaking channels except China Central Television occasionally broadcasts in English. Beds are a bit hard but acceptable. Make sure you can get a non-smoking room if you are sensitive to the smell of smoke.
