Very nice, efficient, but anonymous business hotel, Hilton Shanghai Hotel is a towering skyscraper of a hotel, reasonably well placed for business in this sprawling city. There are a number of restaurants, both Chinese and western, and all are of high quality. There is a pleasant bar at the top of the hotel, with spectacular views of the city of Shanghai. Lounge areas on the ground flood are very comfortable, with regular live musical entertainment from very good artists.

The 32,000 square-foot SPA at the Hilton Shanghai Hotel is an oasis for exercising and relaxing, with a gym, pool, tennis and squash courts and 8 treatment rooms.

The conference facilities are very good indeed. Wireless Internet Access is available in all public areas but unfortunately not for free.

Set in the prestigious former French Concession in the heart of Shanghai's business and entertainment centre, Hilton Shanghai Hotel is within walking distance of major corporations and the main shopping districts. The hotel is not that far from the subway and is well served by taxis.

Rooms

The rooms at Hilton Shanghai Hotel are comfortable, although looking a bit tired and a little old-fashioned. Good news is the hotel is going to renovate rooms. The bathroom is very good indeed, with a huge bath and marble fittings. That said, it is nevertheless an international hotel of high quality, with all the amenities you could wish for during a business or leisure stay.
