The Kai Wah Plaza International, Kunming (formerly known as the Westin Kunming), was opened in 1999. It was the first international 5-star hotel in Kunming and is truly a luxurious place, providing sumptuous accommodations in the heart of the city. As a 5-star hotel, the Kai Wah has some of the best dining and entertainment options in Kunming. The hotel is also associated with one of the best golf courses in China, the Spring City Golf Course, a beautiful 71-par course. The hotel provides a bus service for guests to travel to and from the golf course. Inside the hotel, the newly opened warm water swimming pool helps make a stay here even more enjoyable.

The hotel is located in the busy commercial center of Kunming on the bustling Beijing Lu. Big department stores and other retail centers can be found throughout the area. The hotel is very close to the railway station and approximately 15kms to the Airport and 1km to the railway station.
