One of the best-located hotels in the city, Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel is conveniently situated close to Huaihai Road, the "Champs-Elysées" of Shanghai. Its accommodations overlook 10,000 square meters of beautiful gardens and are spread across three unique buildings, the historic Cathay Building (built in 1929), the lavish mid-1930s suite-only Grosvenor House and the modern Cathay Garden executive wing.

There are 5 restaurants spreading in the buildings and a food street on the hotel ground. The Shanghai Jinjiang Hotel has a very well equipped fitness area and a swimming pool, which give people options to work out and relax. The dining room (breakfast) carries a huge selection of buffet style menus, plenty of choice for all tastes.

The Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel is just one block north of Huaihai Zhong Lu, the very downtown avenue of the City.

Rooms

There are 434 guest rooms and suites in Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel. Rooms are fairly large with all the usual and necessary furnishings: chairs, TV, table, fridge, mini bar and safe. The furnishings including the beds are well made and comfortable, the bathroom is of a good size and offers a very effective walk in shower. The room windows are the old style metal type, which do open quite wide and may be dangerous for children, but the air conditioning usually works well and so the need to open the windows seems nonexistent.
