Opened in August 1999, Shanghai Oriental Riverside Hotel is attached to the famous Shanghai International Convention Center.

The hotel also has some recreational facilities, some are included in the room rate and some are extra. The gym, sauna and swimming are included but tennis, snooker, table tennis, pool, 10 pin bowling and crazy golf are extra.

Location

Close to the Pearl Oriental Tower, the Shanghai Oriental Riverside Hotel's location is it's greatest asset. It's on the Pudong (east) side of the river. People notice how much quieter and calmer life is around hotel as the only traffic is the hotel's itself.

The Shanghai Oriental Riverside Hotel is also just 3 minutes walk away from the Super Brand Mall, which has a Lotus Supermarket in the basement so you can stock up on drinks and snacks. Lotus also has a reasonable hot food section and on the higher floor of this mall where you can find KFC, McDonalds and Burger King along with many other restaurants.

The Oriental Riverside Hotel is located approximately half a mile from the Oriental Pearl TV (which houses the Shanghai History Museum) and about 25 miles from Pudong International Airport.

Boasting 260 river-view deluxe rooms, Shanghai Oriental Riverside Hotel has rooms with non-fantastic but certainly very nice and usual amenities like tea making facilities. The beds are very comfortable. Separated shower and bath offer great convenience.

All rooms feature high-speed Internet access, cable TV, voicemail, desks, safes, irons and ironing boards (on request), hairdryers, jetted tubs, bathroom telephones, slippers and bathrobes, separate bathtubs and showers.
