Location: 50km from Pudong International Airport.

Opened on the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall in 1998, the block-deep Ramada Plaza strives very hard for a classic elegance, with Italian and Spanish marbles, stained-glass skylights, and wainscoting in its cavernous, brightly lit lobby.  The hotel as a whole would be better if more warm and solid elements are added.  The staff is efficient enough, and competitive discounts and an excellent location right on the pedestrian mall seem to please most guests.  There are four restaurants in the hotel and bar, lounge, indoor pool, fitness center with sauna and business center offer essential services people may need away from home and office.

Location

Shanghai Ramada Plaza Hotel is just one block east of Xizang Zhong Lu between Nanjing Dong Lu and Jiujiang Lu, Huangpu District (Downtown Shanghai).  The hotel is located 18km from Hongqiao International Airport, and 50km from Pudong International Airport.

Rooms

There are 376 rooms and suites in Shanghai Ramada Plaza Hotel.  Rooms, facing an enormous atrium festooned with Greek statuary and fake palm trees, are unremarkably decorated but comfortable, with firm beds and all the usual four-star amenities, from hair dryer, air-conditioning, desk to mini-bar and in-room safe.
