Ancient Huangyao Town Picture

Ancient Huangyao Town is nestled within the lower reaches of the Lijiang River. Like Guilin, Huangyao is characterized by the area's typical karst landscape. It's surrounded by rolling karst mountains  and peaks. Three crystal-clear  rivers zigzag their way through the town with exquisite stone bridges arching over the water.

The four square kilometer town is home to more than 500 families. Although not large, the ancient town offers a lasting appeal to artists, photographers and travelers for its scenic beauty, enduring history, time-honored culture and unique folk customs.
