Fencheng town was first built in Tang Dynasty, called Taiping County. Then in the following years, more constructions were added in the town. Now the Fencheng Ancient Architectural Complex has Chenghuang Buddha Temple, Confucius Temple, Drum Tower, Xueqian Brick Pagoda, Government Hall, Guanyu Memorial Hall, Society Hall, Hongji Bridge, City Wall and other 40 ancient buildings. It is one of the best preserved ancient architectural Complex in China.
