Laojun Mountain, also known as Jingshi Mountain, is one of the three major mountain of Funiu Mountains. Laojun Mountain is 2192m high and located in south of Luanchuan County. It was recorded that Laozi, the initiator of the Taoism once practiced austerities here, and thus the mountain was named Laojun Mountain.

The Laojun Temple was built in the North Wei Dynasty. The rafters and the tiles are all made of iron. It was regarded as a holy and sacred place for Taoism practice from the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. The Laojun Mountain is grand and imposing and attracts lots of liberators and poets, and they highly praised the Laojun Mountain. They said that the Laojun Mountain owned the majesty of Tai Mountains, the steepness of Hua Mountains, the Cloudiness of Lu Mountains and the strange of the Yellow Mountains.
