After 3 days of experiencing the best Beijing has to offer, including the Great Wall of China, the Temple of Heaven, and the Forbidden City, you will disembark and travel the highest railway in the World, The Qinghai–Tibet railway.  As the train trundles along the high Tibetan plateau, thorough picturesque scenery of the Tibetan countryside, you won't be able to take your eyes of the magnificence as your eyes drink it all in.  While in Lhasa you will visit the most sacred place in Tibet, Jokhang Temple, and the largest monastery in Asia, Drepung Monastery.  You will eat with the locals and try traditional food.  Mingle with the crowds and see how the locals shop. A plane flight from Lhasa to Chengdu will help the journey back down from the plateau.  Chengdu, also known as the Home of the Giant Panda, see the ancient town of Luodai where the buildings are built in the ancient style of the Qing Dynasty.  Before heading to Xi'an, visit the Giant Panda Breeding Base, one of the significant centers for captive conservation of Giant Pandas in the world.  In Xi'an, we will visit the ancient burial site of the first Emperor of China.  Here you will see the greatest archeological discovery of the 20th Century, the Terracotta Warriors.  Our next destination, Shanghai, you will be fascinated by the famous Yu Garden, a Suzhou style garden dating back hundreds of years.  The journey will conclude after you have seen the famous water town of Zhujiajiao.
