6 Days Ski Tour out of Beijing

Day 01 Beijing / Harbin

Depart on your flight for Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province. Known as "Ice City," Harbin is famous for its winter scenery and bitterly cold temperatures. Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to visit the St. Sophia Church, the largest Orthodox Eastern Church in the remote eastern area, first constructed in March, 1907 by Russian Troops. Now it serves as an architectural art museum run by the provincial government. Then visit the Central Street, originally built in 1898 with the name "China Street", it was renamed as the "Central Street" in 1925 and later developed into the most prosperous commercial street in the city. In the afternoon, visit the Northeast Tiger Park where has more than five hundred endangered purebred Siberian tigers and you can closely watch the tigers in the special vehicles.

In the evening from January to February, you have chance to enjoy the Ice Lantern festival. Every year such as the ice tower, Ice Bridge, ice long corridor and ice pavilion and building and even the 12-year cycles are made with large ice. These sculptures come alive in a dazzling display of light and color from the thousands of tiny lights lying hidden inside.

Day 02 Harbin / Yabuli (B, L)

After breakfast, drive from Harbin to Yabuli. Located 200 kilometers east of Harbin, Yabuli is a year-round tourist attraction specializing in Ski activities. It is a sub range of the Changbai Mountain Range and covers 2,225 hectares. The resort is endowed with favorable natural conditions, making it the best natural skiing resorts in China. The area’s temperature is minus 1degrees Celsius and the winter last for as long a six months – October to April. Snow depth reaches an average of 39cm and gets as thick as 60cm in high altitude regions. Yabuli Ski Resort is currently the biggest and has the most complete facilities among ski resorts in China. Among its features is the 3800m long main skiing trail located at an altitude of 1300m. Cable car lifts are also available.
