Famen TemplePick you up at your hotels between 9:00 am and 9:30 am. Today you will drive about 118 km to visit Famen Temple. It is a famous Buddhist temple which holds the genuine relics of Gautama Buddha (Sakyamuni). Patronized by a succession of emperors, this temple became one of the four most sacred Buddhist sanctuaries in China. Today Famen Temple has become a sacred place for both Buddhism and tourism. Famen Temple is indeed a bright gem in the treasure house of Chinese historical and cultural relics. Around 13:30, you will have a taste of the local flavor. In the afternoon, you will continue to visit the Qian Mausoleum which is the tomb for Emperor Gao Zong and his Empress Wu Zetian. The design of the tomb site replicates the city of Chang'an and in accordance with tradition is on a north-south axis. The tomb is of a very strong and secure construction and is notable as the only mausoleum to escape the unwelcome attention of tomb robbers. And then you will visit the Tomb of Princess Yong Tai who is the granddaughter of Emperor Gaozong. It is 87m/285ft long and is also decorated with wall-paintings. Burial objects found here included gold and silver jewelry and china. The sightseeing will take you about 3.5 hours. After the tour, you will be transferred back to hotel. Service ends.
