General Introduction

Originally inaugurated in 2004, Victoria Katarina sets a new standard in cruise ship design for Yangtze River cruising. The previous fleet was constructed with Victoria Cruises personal touches featuring in both modern and elegant architecture. The Victoria Katarina brings tourists breathtaking views with its generous cabin space, floor-to-ceiling windows, and private balconies. The cruise is equipped with internet access, fax machines, and international phone systems, which enable tourists travel in comfort and leisure.

Day 01: Chongqing

Board your Yangtze River Cruiser.

Day 02: Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)

Have an early get-up to enjoy a spectacular journey on the mighty Yangtze River. After lunch, you will disembark at the ancient Fengdu and enjoy a visit to the legendary city of ghost. Before return to the cruise for the welcome banquet, you will explore the city of ghost by visiting the local temples.

Day 03: Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)

Today’s highlight is the cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge framed by steep mossy cliffs Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks and Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. You will have a memorable experience of the shore excursion of Shennong Stream with a sampan tour through the treacherous gorges.

Day 04: Yangtze River Cruise / Yichang (B)

Today you will have a stop at Sandouping to view the historic Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. After the shore excursion of Three Gorges Dam, you will disembark at Yichang in the afternoon.

Upstream: Yichang - Chongqing (Sailing Date)

Day 01: Yichang

Arrive in Yichang. Board the Yangtze River cruiser, where you will begin your memorable cruise upstream.

Day 02: Yangtze River Cruise

Today the cruise will stop at San Duo Ping and sail through the Xiling Gorge, the longest of the famed Three Gorges. After lunch, you will enjoy a shore excursion at the splendid Three Gorges Dam Project.

Day 03: Yangtze River Cruise

This morning, you will pass through the west part of Xiling Gorges. After a shore excursion at Shennong Stream, you will pass through the Wu Gorge and visit the fascinating peaks and rocks along the Wu Mountains. Then pass through Qutang Gorge, which is framed by steep cliffs, with overhanging mountains on the two sides.

Day 04: Yangtze River Cruise

Today's highlight is a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda which was built against a protruding 220-meter rectangular rock with sheer cliffs on the north bank.

Day 05: Chongqing

Morning cruise will bring you to Chongqing where you will disembark.
