Jiangnan Tour

Day 01 Hangzhou

Arrive in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province. You are greeted by the guide and transferred to check in four-star Hangzhou Sunny Hotel or similar.

Day 02 Hangzhou / Shaoxing (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you are escorted to drive to Shaoxing city located 50 kilometers away from Hangzhou. With 2,500 years of history, Shaoxing is the hometown of many celebrities in Chinese history. You will visit the former residence of Luxun who was a famous novelist and has a very important status in cultural history of China. In the afternoon, take a leisure stroll in Shen Garden which was well known for the tragic love story of Lu You, a great patriotic poet in the Southern Song Dynasty. Then enjoy your free time to appreciate the water town and do shopping on your own. Stay overnight at four-star Shaoxing Kaiyue Hotel or similar.

Day 03 Shaoxing / Fenghua / Xikou / Ningbo (B, L, D)

In the morning, drive to Xikou town in Fenghua. After lunch, take a visit to Xikou Scenic Area. While enjoying the beautiful natural landscape, you have chance to visit the former residence of Chiang Kaishek and Xuedou Buddhist Temple which is the holy land for Maitreya Bodhisattva. Check in Xikou Hotel or similar.

Day 04 Ningbo (B, L, D)

Transferred to Ningbo city and take the city sightseeing. As a well-known cultural and historical city in China, Ningbo has many famous tourist attractions. You will visit the Tianyige, the oldest private library in China, which has become a museum with exquisite garden and ancient architectures. Then visit the Baoguo Temple, the oldest wooden structure in Southern Yangtze River. Check into Ningbo New Century Hotel or similar.

Day 05 Ningbo / Putuoshan (B, L, D)

After breakfast, transfer to Ningbo Daxie pier to take the fast ferry for Putuoshan (Mt. Putuo). After lunch, visit the Purple Bamboo Forest. There you can visit the Cave of Tidal Sound. It is not a real cave but a huge vertical gash in the cliff face. You can hear the thundering sound of the tide day and night, hence its name. Continue to tour around Huiji Temple which was built on the top of the Foding Hill. Only in Huiji Temple is Buddha Sakyamuni worshiped. Check into Putuoshan Hotel or similar.

Day 06 Putuoshan / Hangzhou (B, L, D)

Morning tour firstly takes you to visit Puji Temple. Originally built in Tang Dynasty (618AD-907AD), Puji Temple is the largest and most spectacular temple on Putuoshan. Next you are escorted to visit Fayu Temple where is famous for the delicate wood carvings and ancient architectures. In the afternoon, take the ferry to Shenjiamen and drive back to Hangzhou. Check into Hangzhou Sunny Hotel or similar.

Day 07 Qian Dao Hu (B, L, D)

After breakfast, drive about 2 hours to Qian Dao Hu (Thousand Islets Lake). With an area of 143, 321 acres, Qian Dao Hu (Thousand Islets Lake) has a total of 1,078 islets, each with its own formation. By taking the cruise, you will tour around Wulong (Five Dragon) Islet which consists of Lock Islet, Bird Islet, Funny Park and Queer stone Islet. Enjoy the crystal green Lakeview and enchanting natural scenery. Check into Qian Dao Hu Hotel or similar.

Day 08 Qian Dao Hu / Hangzhou (B, L, D)

Following breakfast today, drive back to Hangzhou and cruise the beautiful West Lake which is the symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Then transfer to Linyin Temple, one of top 10 famous Buddhist temples in China. After dinner, check in the hotel and rest.

Day 09 Hangzhou (B)

Transfer to the airport for the departure flight. Service ends.
