Hi Tiffany,

Firstly, let me thank you on behalf of my extended family for the wonderful tour you organised for us. Everything was meticulously planned and we were clear on what is included and what is not. Thanks for meeting us in Xian and also for the gift.

I will answer your questions as you have asked..

1. All hotels were good with excellent breakfast except the one in Chengdu. There is nothing much to complain about even that but it was a little dated and rooms were too small with a musty smell (breakfast also wasn't that good). Suzhou hotel was the best exceeding our expectations. I will write reviews about those on Tripadvisor when I get time.

2. Local guides. 

Cathy in Xian was the best - she was all we could ask for from a guide (and a friend) - Passionate about her job, knowledgeable,ready to help, always pleasant........simply perfect.

May in Chengdu was also excellent - we appreciated her offer to pay for dinner in place of the lunch we missed. She offered us a great lunch in local restaurant. She made sure that we got the boarding pass before she left even though I was insisting that we can mange that on our own.

Julian in Shanghai was OK

Robert in Beijing is also Ok but lacks entusiasm.

Overall nothing much to complain.

3. Overnight train was a great experience - highly recommended. Toilets were unusable...but none of us had to use them.

Your service - there isn't much scope for improvement - it is perfect.
