Sorry to take so long. We have been back just over two weeks now and there was quite a lot of catching up.
We loved the pandas and we enjoyed the irrigation system for its history and setting. Our Pingyao hotel was like a movie setting. The hanging monastery was undoubtedly a high light of our trip and the drive through the mountains back to Datong was spectacular. Seeing so much of the wall was quite exciting for us. We also enjoyed the scenery on the train trip from Datong to Beiijng.
Our guides and drivers were all good, particularly Mai and Mr Wu in Chengdu, and Star and Mr Jiang who had us for the long drives from Pingyao and the excursions from Datong. You can see I finally got my bactrian camel ride! Thank you very much for all your organizing.
I am having problems with skydrive so shall send some more in a few minutes. I still can't do half the things I used to be able to do on Vista.
