Luxun Park

This 2-mile long park on a rocky, sharply tilting coast shows little sign of man's painstaking refinement, appearing as an original work of nature. Built in 1929, Peaceful and lovely Luxun Park is located on the shore of The Huiquan Bay. Formally called Seaside Park, this park is adjacent to the bathing beach and is a good place to picnic within view of the sea. It got its present name in 1950 in memory of the distinguished Chinese modern writer Lu Xun. Li Bai, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, once compared the place to a fairyland by the sea. The memorial archway of the park is still inscribed with the words "Wonderland on the Sea." The park contains an aquarium and an aquatic museum, with a big seal pool nearby. The park is a perfect combination of traditional Chinese gardening art and natural beauty.
