Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive in Shanghai

Welcome to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the local driver at the airport and then transferred to hotel for rest.

Day 2: Shanghai city tour

Today, you will take metro or taxi to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, which was built to keep two jade Buddha statues brought from Burma. Next, visit the Yuyuan Garden, a classical garden, and explore the Old Town Quarter where various local snack shops and streets are scattered around. Then wander on the Nanjing Road Walking Street, which is considered to be the “No. 1 commercial street in China". At last, visit the famous waterfront, Bund. It is regarded as the symbol of Shanghai. Stay overnight in Shanghai.

Day 3: Shanghai-Beijing

Enjoy a free morning to explore Shanghai at your own arrangement. In the afternoon, transfer to the railway station for your overnight soft-sleeper train to Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing

Upon arrival, enjoy your breakfast. Then drive for about 2 hours to visit the 8th Wonder of the World, Mutianyu Great Wall. It is one of the best-preserved and best-known sections of Great Wall. (Round trip cable car is optional at your own expense.) After hiking on the wall for about 1 to 2 hours, go back to the city. On the way, stop by the Olympic Park to see the iconic Bird's Nest Stadium and Water Cube, which are landmarks of modern Beijing. Transfer back to hotel.

Day 5: Beijing

Get up early today and meet our guide at your hotel lobby. Today you will visit the highlights in Beijing city by taking metro or taxi. The first visit is the Temple of Heaven Park, where you can see many local Chinese people doing morning exercises, such as Tai-Chi (a traditional Chinese martial art), Peking opera singing and folk dancing.Next you will walk through the Temple of Heaven, which is the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where most Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest. Have a quick lunch (your own cost) at a local restaurant suggested by your local guide, then stroll the Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and then enter the Forbidden City, which is the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years. Going from south to north through the Forbidden City, you will pass the Jingshan Park. Go into the park and climb up the hill to have a bird-eye view of the royal palace. Then take metro or taxi back to your hotel.

Day 6: Departure from Beijing

Free time till transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
