Itinerary:

Day 01 Arrive in Shanghai

Depart on your flight bound for Shanghai. Meet and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02 Shanghai

Start the city tour to Yu Garden, the best preserved ancient Chinese garden. There are many small-commodities like handicrafts and clothes, and you can explore the sale market around all by yourself and enjoy the fun of shopping. Then travel to the Bund, appreciating the splendid Bund western buildings and the Lujiazui skylines on the other side of the Huangpu River. At the end of the tour, spend some time on the No. 1 shopping street in the country-East Nanjing Road. Transfer back to your hotel for rest.

Day 03 Shanghai / Wuzhen (B)

In the morning, you will go around People’s Square, one of the three main city centers. After appreciating cultural relics including Bronze Ware, Ceramics, Calligraphy, Paintings in Shanghai Museum, you will transfer to Water Town Wuzhen. There you will enjoy natural night beauty of water town at West Gate. You will spend a comfortable night at local civilian residence by the water.

Day 04 Wuzhen / Suzhou (B)

Compared to last night, morning sightseeing at East Gate will be equally impressive to you. After a relaxing stroll around by yourself for three hours, you will be transferred to Suzhou in an air-conditioned vehicle. Guanqian Street is a paradise of fashion and food. Continue to visit the Garden of the Master of Nets, one of the smallest (at little more than one acre) yet considered one of the best designed and most elegant of the private gardens still extant.

Day 05 Suzhou/Luoyang (B)

In the morning, you will visit Linger Garden, praised as one of the nation's four famous gardens. Then comes Tiger Hill scenic zone, which was a symbolic sightseeing in Suzhou. In the afternoon, be ready to transfer to railway station and board the overnight soft-sleeper train to Luoyang.

Day 06 Luoyang (B)

Arriving in Luoyang this morning, after a short break and breakfast in the hotel, start a full day visit at Shaolin Temple, where the Kongfu is originated from. And now the temple has gained the fame worldwide as "No.1 famous temple in China".

Day 07 Luoyang / Xian (B)

In the morning, you will be shown around Longmen Buddhism Grottoes, one of the famous four grottoes in China. It provides a large number of historical data for studying ancient religion, fine arts, architecture, calligraphy, music, dress, as well as medicine. Then you will travel to Xian by high-speed train.

Day 08 Xian / Pingyao (B)

After breakfast travel to Lintong, the place where The Terracotta Army and the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor was discovered. The Terracotta Warriors are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. There are more than 8,000 life-size Terra-cotta soldiers and horses excavated from this area which all displayed in the practical battle formation in 3 pits respectively. Transfer to railway station and board the high-speed train to Pingyao. Meet and transfer to the hotel.

Day 09 Pingyao (B)

Enjoy a full day tour to explore the ancient city of Pingyao. Walking on the city wall and wandering in ancient shops makes you feel that you are back to Chinese ancient history. In the afternoon, you are free to enjoy what you are doing inside the old city.

Day 10 Pingyao / Beijing (B)

In the morning, you will start a cultural experience at Wang Family's Compound, which is a symbol of civilian residence in Qing Dynasty and have been preserved much well. Then you will be transferred to Taiyuan and go back to Beijing by hi-speed train.

Day 11 Beijing (B)

Get up early today and meet our guide at your hotel lobby. Your first visit is the Temple of Heaven Park, which is the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where most Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.Then stroll the Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and then enter the Forbidden City, which is the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years.

Day 12 Beijing (B)

Meet your guide at your hotel and then take private tour to Badaling Section of the Great Wall.  Upon arriving at the Badaling Great Wall, you can either take cable car (optional cost) uphill or hike along the stairs on the wall. You may spend 2-3 hours on the symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. Then you will visit the Summer Palace, one of the China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. It is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design, integrating the natural landscape of hills and open water with man-made features into a harmonious and aesthetically exceptional whole.
