Tour to Confucius Hometown

Day 01 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport outside the luggage claim area with your name displayed and then transferred to the hotel for rest.

Day 02 Beijing

Get up early today and meet our guide at your hotel lobby. Your first visit is the Temple of Heaven Park, which is the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where most Emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties prayed for peace and harvest.Then stroll the Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and then enter the Forbidden City, which is the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years.

Day 03 Beijing

Meet your guide at your hotel and then take private tour to Badaling Section of the Great Wall.  Upon arriving at the Badaling Great Wall, you can either take cable car (optional cost) uphill or hike along the stairs on the wall. You may spend 2-3 hours on the symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. Then you will visit the Summer Palace, one of the China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. It is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design, integrating the natural landscape of hills and open water with man-made features into a harmonious and aesthetically exceptional whole.

Day 04 Beijing / Jinan

In the morning, travel to Jinan by high-speed train. Meet and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 05 Jinan / Qufu

Visit the Baotu Spring Park hailed as "the first spring under the heaven". Continue to visit the Spring City Square and the Provincial Museum. visit the Shandong Provincial Museum houses a collection of more than 210 000 historical artifacts natural history collection specimens. Highlights of the historical collection include relics from the neolithic Dawenkou and Longshan cultures, bronze artifacts from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, stone carvings from the Han Dynasty, and paintings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Then you will drive to Qufu, the native place of Confucius, who is the Chinese celebrated thinker and educator and the father of Confucianism.

Day 06 Qufu / Taian

In the morning, visit the Confucius Temple, the former residence of Confucius. Then visit the Confucius mansion, also named Shengfu, was the residence for Confucian descendants. Continue to visit the Confucian Cemetery that is the graveyard of Confucius and his decedents. In the later afternoon, drive to Taian and check in the hotel.

Day 07 Taian

The tour starts with the visit to Dai Temple that houses the God of Mountain Tai. The temple is regarded as the master piece of ancient Chinese construction. Ascend the holy Mountain Taishan by cable car. Enjoy the awesome scenery on the top of the mountain.

Day 8 Taian

Transfer to the airport or the train station. Service ends.
