In an attempt to better preserve and promote ancient heritage and its culture. Those constructions of Ming Dynasty was moved here from other villages, and restored in the way they used to be. The move and restoration work began in 1984, and in 1999 it opened to the public. Located in Qiankou town of Huizhou district, it covers an area of 16,000 square meters and centralizes 10 typical Ming dynasty houses scattered in Huizhou district, about 24 kilometers from Tunxi. It remains the original style feature both architecturally and culturally. Known as the "Museum of Dwelling Houses of Ming in Qiankou," it is a must for each visitor who wants to learn more about Hui-style architecture in a short time.
