Luoyang and Xian Tour

Day 1 Luoyang (L)

Arrive in Luoyang, meet your guide at the railway station and transfer to the four-star Peony Hotel. After refresh at hotel, visit White Horse Temple, the first Buddhism Temple and is referred to as "the cradle of Buddhism" in China. Continue to visit the Longmen Buddhism Grottoes, one of the famous four grottoes in China. It provides a large number of historical data for studying ancient religion, fine arts, architecture, calligraphy, music, dress, as well as medicine.

Day 2 Luoyang (B, L)

Today you will spend a full day tour to visit the Shaolin Monastery, where the Kongfu is originated from. Located at the foot of Five Breasts Peak and to the north of Shaoshi Mountain, 11.5km northwest of the downtown Dengfeng city, Shaolin Temple was built in Northern Wei Dynasty in 496 A.D. And in 572 A.D, Bodhi Dharma, a senior Indian monk, came here and first preached Chan sect of Buddhism in China. Since then, both Chan Sect of Buddhism and Shaolin martial arts had witnessed great development. Now the temple has gained the fame worldwide as "No.1 famous temple in China".

Continue to visit the pagoda forest in Shaolin Temple. It was a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks, abbots and ranking monks at the temple.

Day 3 Luoyang / Xian (B)

Transfer to the railway station and board the soft-seat train to Xian. Arrive in Xian, the ancient capital of China, meet your guide and transfer to the four-star Xian Aurum International Hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit the ancient City Wall, the best-preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. It is also one of the most important landmarks of the Xi'an city. Dinner will arranged at one local restaurant for you to taste the Cantonese Cuisine.

Day 4 Xian (B, L)

A full day of sightseeing feature one of tour highlights, the army of Terra-cotta Warriors, created 2,200 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. It has been announced as the world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

After lunch at Old Xian Restaurant, you will drive back to the city. On your way, stop at the Neolithic Banpo Village, an archaeological site discovered in the 1950's. It houses the site of a 6,000 Cyear- old village, which belongs to a Neolithic clan community. Continue to visit the majestic Wild Goose Pagoda, located within the premises of Dacien si (the Temple of thanksgiving).

Day 5 Xian (B)

Transfer to the airport and fly to the next destination.
