A whole day tour starts with a visit to Yufeng Si, a traditional Lamasery famous for its 1000-year-old Camellia Tree. Take cable car ascending Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, one of the most sacred mountains for Naxi People. Take the cable car to get to the Spruce Medow, where romantic suicides happened in ancient time. Not only was it merely a suicide but also a brave protest against arranged marriages and the manifestation of pursing an eternal love on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. With snow-capped mountain as the backdrop, vast spruce trees grow on greenish meadow dotted colorful and unscented wild flowers. Under mild sun shine and with mountain breeze flowing gently, you feel as if you are walking in a heavenly paradise. Descending the mountain by cable car. Visit Baisha, a very typical local village where the frescos of the Song dynasty are preserved. These murals are famous for their unique feature blending Tibetan Buddhism, Chinese Taoism, Zen Buddhism and Naxi Dongba culture. This style reflects the religious tolerance and cultural exchange in ancient Lijiang.
