It is a highland lake, much treasured both in the light of Kunming's perennial spring weather and the splendid scenic beauty of the Lake District. At night, the moon casts a hazy glow over the lake, and the silence of the scene is broken only by the gentle sigh of a refreshing breeze. At the same time, the lake is a pleasant destination for those wishing to get away from the bustle of the city itself.
