China Tea Tour Tour Features: This exclusive China Tea tour is designed to capture the essence China's tea culture combined with rich natural and cultural attractions. You will visit regions of China famous for Oolong and Dragon Well green tea as well as tour historic sites in Beijing and Shanghai.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

Depart on your flight bound for Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Holiday Downtown Hotel.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L)

Full-day tour will begin at the magnificent Forbidden City, home to emperors for over 500-years. Strolling through Tiananmen Square, which is the largest square in the world. Continue to witness the splendor of the Summer Palace, built as a royal garden for Qing Dynasty Emperors. This evening, you are invited to a Peking duck banquet.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L)

A full-day tour will take in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Great Wall, built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. On the way back to Beijing stop and visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Enjoy a spectacular Chinese Kongfu performance in the evening.

Day 4 Beijing (B, L)

Visit the famous Beihai Park and walk leisurely through the old Hutong area. Tonight you are invited to enjoy the local cultural performances at Lao She Teahouse.

Day 5 Beijing / Xiamen (B, L)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport and fly to Xiamen. Meet your guide and visit the scenic Island Ring Road and South Buddhist Temple, the most famous temple in town. Check in the four-star Kingsway Hotel.

Day 6 Xiamen / Anxi / Xiamen (B, L)

Today you will drive 1.5 hour to Anxi, the capital of Tieguanyin. Your tour will be starting from the Xiping Village, the home of the original Tieguanyin bush. Continue to visit Tieguanyin Cultural Garden and Weiyin Tea Factory to the history and production methods of Tieguanyin. In the afternoon, you will also visit China Tea Capital, a large center dedicated to showcasing Anxi County's famous tieguanyin tea. Drive back to Xiamen in the late afternoon.

Day 7 Xiamen / Huaan / Xiamen (B, L)

In the morning, drive 2.5 hour to Huaan, second largest Tieguanyin producing area in China. You will visit the 268-year-old Eryilou, the largest round earth house listed as UNESCO world heritage site; take a stroll through the lush greenery of the tea garden near the Tulou. In the afternoon, pay a visit to the local Tea Wholesale Market and then transfer back to Xiamen in the late afternoon.

Day 8 Xiamen / Zhangzhou / Xiamen (B, L)

After breakfast, drive 2.5 to Zhangzhou and visit the Tianfu Tea Museum, the largest Tea Museum in the world now. The main exhibition hall utilizes different medium to vividly display the history of tea, tea culture of various countries, as well as the development of Tian Fu Group Enjoy professional tea art performance in the Chinese Tea Art Classroom.

Day 9 Xiamen / Wuyishan (B, L)

Today you will take a ferry trip to Gulang Yu Island, designated for International Foreign Settlement in 1903. Take a leisure walk and appreciate the buildings before visiting Hi Heaven (Haitian Tanggou), the largest old villa on the island where you can enjoy ancient South Music performance and traditional Puppet Show. Continue to visit Shuzhuang Garden, a beautiful seaside garden and the famous Piano Museum with a collection of 80-fold rare old pianos from all over the world. In the afternoon, you will also have an opportunity to visit Xiamen Tea Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd, the largest Oolong Tea Company in Fujian. In the evening, you will transfer to airport for flight to Wuyishan in the evening. Check in the four-star Baodao Hotel.

Day 10 Wuyishan (B, L)

In the morning, take a bamboo raft and cruise down the 9 Bend Stream watching the fabled "Fairy Tale Peaks" pass by. Then you will go to see the original Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) tea trees. Their priceless leaves are legendary for their healing powers and are reserved only for top level political officials.

Day 11 Wuyishan (B, L)

In the morning, hike up to Heavenly Peak, over looking the stream. In the afternoon you will enter the Wuyi Nature Reserve which encompasses one of the oldest tea factories making the smoky Lapsang Souchong black tea. Tour the factory and learn about how this tea is made as well as tasting the different products of the factory.

Day 12 Wuyishan / Shanghai (B, L)

In the morning, visit Xiamei Ancient Village. Your walk in the Xiamei Village brings you back in time to the Ming and the Qing Dynasties. Then you will also visit Wuyi Tea Expo Garden. In the late afternoon, transfer to airport and fly to Shanghai. Meet and check in the four-star Greenland Dragon Hotel.

Day 13 Shanghai (B, L)

Today you will proceed to take a leisure stroll in the fabulous Yu Garden at the Old Quarter, the famous waterfront Bund and Nanjing Road at the shopping center.

Day 14 Shanghai / Hangzhou (B, L)

Drive to Hangzhou in the morning and enjoy a wonderful cruise of China's most famous Lake, West Lake; it is symbol of Hangzhou as well as one of the most beautiful sights in China. Then visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda. Ascending to the top of the pagoda and looking down, you will have a panoramic view of the beauty of the Qiantang River, feeling as if "standing above the highest level of the sky". The last stop is the Dragon Well Tea Plantation.

Day 15 Hangzhou / Shanghai (B)

After a leisure breakfast, you will drive back to Shanghai. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own.

Day 16 Shanghai (B)

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight and complete the most exciting China tea tour.
