Jewish Heritage Tour to China

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing

Depart on your flight bound for Beijing, the capital of People's Republic of China. Upon your arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2: Beijing

Full-day tour will begin at the magnificent Forbidden City, known as Palace Museum, is the home to emperors for over 500-years. Strolling through Tiananmen Square, which is the largest square in the world. Continue to witness the splendor of the Summer Palace.

Day 3: Beijing

A full-day tour will take in the grandeur of the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Great Wall, built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from northern invaders. On the way back to Beijing stop and visit the sacred Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried. Tonight enjoy the fantastic Kung Fu Show.

Day 4: Beijing – Zhengzhou

Today you will fly to Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. Met and transferred to the hotel after your arrival. An interesting afternoon tour leads you to the Provincial Museum where you will admire hundreds of historical treasure. This evening we enjoy Shabbat service and dinner with a local Jewish family.

Day 5: Zhengzhou – Kaifeng – Luoyang

Start your trip to Kaifeng. Visit the vast residences and a large synagogue complex of Jewish Community that stood for seven centuries. Afterwards, travel to Luoyang and check in the local hotel in late afternoon.

Day 6: Luoyang

In this morning, you will visit the famous Longmen Grottoes, which is one of the five major grottoes in China. Continue to the Shaolin Temple, the most important origin of Chinese Kung Fu (martial arts), and watch an authentic Kung Fu performance.

Day 7: Luoyang – Xian

Today you will travel to the ancient capital city of Xian. Arrival and walk leisurely on 600-year-old City Wall built in Ming Dynasty. Check in the hotel tonight.

Day 8: Xian

A full-day tour will take you to the Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses which are the most significant archeologicalexcavations of the 20th century. Continue to visit Huaqing Hot Springs. On the way back to Xian, you can visit 6000-year-old Neolithic village remain in Banpo Museum. In the evening enjoy a dazzling Tang Dynasty Show and dinner.

Day 9: Xian / Shanghai

Today you will fly to Shanghai, the biggest city of China. Arrival and enjoy a guided Jewish heritage tour to the landmark constructions and sites in the history. After dinner, proceed for a city tour to Pudong New District - Shanghai's main financial district and enjoy a scenic night cruise on Huangpu River. Check in the hotel tonight.

Day 10: Shanghai

Visit the world famous waterfront - The Bund. It was once part of the foreign concessions and out-of-bounds to locals. Then explore the magnificent Nanjing Road for free time shopping.

Day 11: Depart

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight and complete the most exciting China Jewish heritage tour.
